Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka said on Wednesday that his ministry has planned to hold a six day exhibition in August titled Vidulka to create a greater awareness on the efficient use of traditional and non-traditional means of power generation.
Addressing the media at the ministry, Minister Ranawaka said the CEB is planning to dole out further concessions for households, public and private establishments for extra efforts taken to save energy.
The minister also said that the CEB loses 15% of the electricity generated, for piracy and it can save about Rs. 15 billion annually if it can reduce the margin by 1%.
